Munich (September 22, 2023). You can feel the Expo Real (4-6 October) approaching: Requests for appointments are coming in, meetings are being arranged. The tension among the trade fair service providers and organisers is palpable. Preparations are in full swing, also for the World of Hospitality. Here everything at a glance!
Augsburg/Munich (25.08.2023). More than 70 companies with a focus on the hotel industry are exhibiting at this year's Expo Real (4-6 October). With 27 exhibitors, the joint stand of the World of Hospitality again reaches pre-Corona level and has two premieres to offer: For the first time, a hotel group from Asia will be there (Dusit Hotels) and a company from the Senior Living segment will present itself. Everything will be more colourful.
Augsburg (March 17, 2023). On March 24th the registration deadline for the main exhibitors at Expo Real 2023 ends. Individual companies can still register for the World of Hospitality joint stand and secure their own spaces and stands. Book now! Special requests can also still be fulfilled.
Munich (October 14, 2022). In one of its fiercest years of crisis, the hotel industry is once again showing perseverance and confidence at Expo Real 2022. With intensive talks and negotiations at the exhibition stands and many meetings around the trade fair. Never have there been so many evening events within the industry as this year.

Munich (September 16, 2022). The registration deadline for co-exhibitors at Expo Real 2022 in Munich ends today. In total, more than twice as many exhibitors have registered as last year, a record number of exhibitors have registered for the Career Day and seven exhibition halls are open again - just like in the record year 2019. The World of Hospitality, a magnet in Hall A1, has also gained another co-exhibitor at the last minute. The new stand design is there, the team is prepared. After a two-year break, there will again be a SPECIAL in print and online and the survey for the hospitalityInside Investment BAROMETER will start again soon.
Munich/Augsburg (July 22, 2022). After two exceptional years marked by restraint and caution with regard to trade fair participations, demand for Expo Real is picking up significantly again this year, both internationally and from all sectors, Messe München reported yesterday. It also confirmed that seven exhibition halls will be open - last year there were five. The joint stand "World of Hospitality"(WoH) will be located with two stands in Hall A1: with a spacious main stand as well as with larger, individually designable areas for companies that want a stand with more space. The main stand will have a completely new design.
Munich (1.4.2022). The registration for the World of Hospitality took place last week. The joint stand is again represented with two stand areas. All exhibitor tables, small and large, can currently still be placed directly on the corridors at the main stand. Interest in Expo Real is gratifyingly high. Munich (February 4, 2022). Since this week, Expo Real has opened the online registration for exhibitors. Planning for the joint stand World of Hospitality 2022 has also started with this. Once again, HospitalityInside is offering the compact workstations (in various versions) at the main stand, but also customisable areas at the neighbouring stand, where companies can implement their own CI on a square footage of their choice. All exhibitors benefit from the same professional service and catering.
Munich (24.9.2021). Expo Real 2021 is noticeably picking up speed with more than 1,200 exhibitors, an up-to-date conference programme and an attractive hotel marketplace with around 30 companies. In line with the development in the hotel industry, some decisions were made very late this year, also at the World of Hospitality.
Munich (September 24, 2021). After the annoying cancellation of Expo Real last year - 36 hours before the start of the fair - there is now a positive new start, with more than 1,200 exhibitors and also a conference programme again, which, despite cutbacks, allows five panels for the hotel sector.
Munich (June 16, 2021/updated July 9, 2021). EXPO REAL, the leading international trade fair for property and investment will be again the meeting place for owners, investors, municipalities and companies from all sectors from 11-13 October 2021. The trade fair will be held as a physical event in five halls.
Augsburg (September 17, 2021). This year, visitors to EXPO REAL will find the "World of Hospitality" and the majority of the hotel industry exhibitors in Hall A1. There are now 15 companies exhibiting at the joint stand. New additions are Novum Hospitality and Engel & Völkers Hotel Consulting. As in 2019, the World of Hospitality is spread over two stands.

Munich (October 16, 2020). As hospitalityInside reported in Breaking News on Monday evening, the Expo Real Hybrid Summit planned for 14-15 October 2020 "was cancelled at short notice due to the currently worsening Covid-19 situation in Munich". Numerous participants had previously announced that they would not be attending the event, according to the fair's official announcement. On Wednesday afternoon, Stefan Rummel, Managing Director of Messe München, joined a virtual meeting of hospitalityInside.com in which 35 executives listened in, including exhibitors of the "World of Hospitality" and Expo Real visitors. You will find Stefan Rummel's statements in a box at the end of this article.
Munich (September 18, 2020). At the Expo Real Hybrid Summit on 14-15 October 2020 HospitalityInside will present this year's joint hospitality stand with a "Smart Space", as reported. Meanwhile, 15 partners from the hotel industry, real estate, investment and consulting have joined. The new HospitalityHub in the lobby of the MASEVEN apartment hotel has also convinced the first virtual participants to make their way to Munich and to unroll their banner there. Munich (September 4, 2020). At the Expo Real Hybrid Summit on 14-15 October 2020, HospitalityInside will present this year's joint hospitality stand with a "Smart Space". 14 partners from the hotel industry, real estate, investment and consulting venture into this new terrain with us.
Munich (July 17, 2020). Messe München has published further details and prices for its first "EXPO REAL Hybrid Summit" on 14-15 October 2020 at the ICM – International Congress Center Munich. As reported (see link), the format of the Expo Real Summit 2020 consists of three pillars: conferences – live on site or virtually via livestream; Smart Spaces – permanently configured stands and special shows on specific topics.
Munich (June 12, 2006). Expo Real 2020 changes its date and format this year: Europe's largest real estate and investment trade fair in Munich is going hybrid – reacting to the current situation. The date was shifted from October 5 to 7 to October 14 and 15. Messe Muenchen expects the green light from the Bavarian government on June 20. They were already familiar with the new concept and had basically approved it at the core.
Augsburg/Munich (May 29, 2020). The Expo Real 2020 will take place. This was and is the declared aim of Messe München four weeks ago. On 26 May, the Bavarian state government now officially permitted trade fairs from 1 September 2020 again. No details are yet known - except that the Corona requirements must be fullfilled here too. Messe München is working with the city and state government on appropriate hygiene measures and requirements. The date is 5-7 October.
Munich (October 18, 2019). In keeping with the unaffected mood in the hotel industry, the hotel marketplace in Hall A2 at this year's Expo Real seemed to shine brightly. Many exhibitors had given their stands a new, open and communicative design. The "World of Hospitality" featured further individually designed exhibitor areas. The forum for HospitalityInsides Networking Event was as lifestylish as it was cosy. Watch the videos now! The relaxed design also contributed to the many lively and well-attended discussions at the hotel conference "Hospitality Industry Dialogue".
Augsburg/Munich (May 10, 2019). The next deadline is approaching - then prices will rise! Messe München is raising its prices for exhibitors on 19 June 2019. So make sure you get your place at the "World of Hospitality" joint stand at EXPO REAL 2019 now!
Munich (October 19, 2018). Bright faces, sounding glasses, good conversations, new contacts and projects: The hotel asset class had good reason to celebrate at Expo Real 2018, as it is one of the most sought-after segments in the current real estate world. Munich (October 12, 2018). That visitor numbers grew by over six percent at the Expo Real was also felt at the joint stand “World of Hospitality” (WoH). In particular, the excellent quality of contacts and the projects offered were praised.
Augsburg/Munich (June 1, 2018). After the main exhibitor deadline has expired, the deadline for all co-exhibiting companies is coming closer. As soon as the regular registration period will have expired on June 22, 2018, fees for co-exhibiting companies will rise. So, save your space at EXPO REAL on time – now!
Munich (October 13, 2017). Whether such positive sentiment can be beaten? This was the question many Expo Real visitors asked themselves last year. And yes, it could be beaten: In 2017, the real estate world was on fire and the heat was hottest where the hotels were, particularly around the best and the most popular. The number of announcements made was almost dizzying. But hospitalityInside also caught the odd critical voice. – To balance things out: images from the networking event “Bricks & Brains” which reflect the positive sentiment in the sector as well as photos from the busy happenings at the joint stand “World of Hospitality”, from the meeting with Thuringia's Minister President Bodo Ramelow and from the hotel conference "Hospitality Industry Dialogue" (HID). Augsburg/Munich (June 17, 2016). The current hunt for new hotel locations is in full swing and the world's largest trade fair for property and investment, EXPO REAL 2016, is well preparing for it. Also, this is obvious due to the higher number of hospitality exhibitors this year. Their presence could well exceed 50 in October in Hall C2. For the joint stand "World of Hospitality", 28 exhibitors have already registered, among them nine new companies compared to last year.
Munich (October 16, 2015). The first Expo Real day was for HospitalityInsiders the litmus test of ability and networking opportunities at the stand. Our joint stand "World of Hospitality" filled over the course of the day not only with the 100 or so staff of our 23 co-exhibitors, but guests were also attracted in droves. We captured some of the impressions at the stand with the camera. As we did too at our evening event "BRICKS & BRAINS". One hour after the end of the conference, the Who's Who of the European hotel real estate and investment scene found their way to the new and extremely chic "Meet & Retreat Lounge", where we were also able to welcome Stefan Rummel, Managing Director of Munich Trade Fair, for the first time. Munich (October 17, 2014). The hospitality industry is the more colourful swath at a real estate and investment trade show. The fact that they work hard while delighting in establishing new contacts and maintaining them was proven once more at the 6th "BRICKS & BRAINS" networking event.
