Munich (September 24, 2021). After the annoying cancellation of Expo Real last year - 36 hours before the start of the fair - there is now a positive new start, with more than 1,200 exhibitors and also a conference programme again, which, despite cutbacks, allows five panels for the hotel sector.

With the successful implementation of the first international automotive show in Munich, IAA Mobility and subject to corona precautions, politicians and trade fair management were at the beginning of September relieved to be able to give the green light for trade fairs in autumn of this year. Klaus Dittrich, Chairman and CEO of Messe München, was naturally delighted with the announcement from Bavarian politicians that a further lockdown was out of the question and that the company's own "protection and hygiene concept came through this particularly complex event with flying colours" (400,000 participants from 96 countries at the IAA Mobility).

This ultimately also gave and still gives Expo Real a tailwind. The safety of participants is thus also a top priority at Expo Real. Clever routing, good ventilation of the halls, social distancing rules, face masks and the VRT rules (Vaccinated, Recovered, Tested, with a test not older than 24 hours) are the prerequisites for the industry to come together again (details under this link).

The Hospitality market place

The Hospitality Marketplace will again be characterised by joint stands of the "World of Hospitality" by HospitalityInside with 15 co-exhibitors and that of PKF hotelexperts with 9 co-exhibitors. What is new is the relocation of most of the hotel exhibitors to Hall A1.

As in 2019, the World of Hospitality is spread over two stands; exhibiting in area A1.034 are: Premier Inn, GSH/Gorgeous Smiling Hotels, Lindner Hotels, Novum Hospitality and HospitalityInside. At stand A1.332, visitors will find Achat Hotels, Choice Hotels Europe, Drees & Sommer, Falkensteiner Hotels & Residences, Hotour Hotel Consulting, HR Group, Kempinski Hotels, Primestar Group and Select Hotel Advisory Service as well as the reception for all exhibitors at the World of Hospitality, which is also the contact point for logo partners Engel & Völkers Hotel Consulting and the Numa Group (formerly Cosi Group).

Details and contacts of the WoH co-exhibitors can be found most quickly under this link on the Marketplace of HospitalityInside, where we have again set up a landing page for the joint stand with a link to the company profiles of the exhibitors and trade fair partners.

Furthermore, the hotel groups IHG, B&B and Deutsche Hospitality will be operating their own stands in Hall A1, while Motel One will be located in Hall A2.

Hospitality conference with 5 panels

The "Hospitality Industry Dialogue" (HID) is once again an integral part of the Expo Real conference programme. It will take place in the Planning & Partnership Forum, which is also located in Hall A1, in the immediate vicinity of the hotel exhibitors.
The fair will therefore start immediately on Monday, 11 October, with the hotel themes. From 10 a.m.-3:30 p.m. all fair visitors are invited to be there in person on site. There will be no virtual version or recording of these panels.

In the meantime, the pandemic is accelerating digitization on many levels at the same time: in guest support and personnel planning as well as in the construction or conversion of a property. More than ever, it's about space efficiency, digital calculation of building structures and optimized processes. Owners and operators must rethink framework conditions and efficiency

ON TUESDAY, 12 October, Expo Real visitors can also get a taste of the HospitalityInside Think Tank (HITT), which just took place in Munich and virtually on 13-14 September. For almost two days, top-class experts, investors, hoteliers and specialised consultants discussed the role of
SUSTAINABILITY & DIGITALISATION: THE CHANGE DRIVERS.
The Decade of Action: How Sustainability leads the agenda, how Digitalisation enables it.

The founder of Gemin-i Analytics, London is an international-class investment professional who spent half his life with JP Morgan, now invests in technology himself, and is one of the big drivers of change around climate change. He relentlessly addresses the major economic, political, environmental and technological mistakes and dangers currently plaguing the world - and the impact they are having on the hospitality industry.
Please set aside an hour for this fascinating and entertaining speech! The code of your fair ticket will then allow you access to the fair.

Expo Real is Europe's largest trade fair for real estate and investment and covers the various segments of the real estate industry - office, retail, hotel, logistics and residential - as well as the entire real estate life cycle, from project development and investment to financing, marketing and operation.
