"Three days to talk, work, relax & play" is the motto for this four day event, that in its essence was intended only to appeal to investors and hoteliers of the design hotel group (www.designhotels.com ). Because the theme has found a much wider base of interest, the consortia has now opened the podium discussion to the public at large.
The event is to take place on 5 October from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the glass room of Vienna's famous "Musikverein" in Boesendorfer Street 12. For a mere ten Euros entrance fee (from September payable online at www.designhotels.com/shop ), you can philosophise with daring architects, designers, trend directors and authors on the future of living. Topic for discussion will be how traditional ideas of space, home and lifestyle can be ordered more flexibly.
Speakers include: Friedrich von Borries, architect and author of the book "Who's afraid of Niketown?"; Ross Lovegrove from Great Britain, industry designer with humanistic approach; Greg Lynn from the USA, architect and supporter of biomorphic architecture; Tom Savigar, trend director of the think tank Future Laboratory; Nik Schweiger, supporter of a "genetic architecture"; as well as Jenny Siegal, American architect and author of the book "Mobile: The Art of Archtecture". / map
