The first Europe meeting

Historic Hotels of Europe meet at the end of March in St. Moritz

St. Moritz (January 14, 2011). Finally, an endless amount of history will come together: For the first time, members of the consortium Historic Hotels of Europe (HHE) will meet for a conference. From 27 to 29 March 2011, the Historic hoteliers will meet at the Badrutt''s Palace St Moritz and in the Waldhaus Hotel in Sils-Maria. The association counts over 700 members hotels; about 70 hoteliers are expected in Switzerland.

"The conference will be a new start," HHE Chairman Jan Edshage predicts revealingly. The programme comprises of an attractive combination of networking, learning and experience exchange. Several renowned speakers have been invited: Juerg Schmid, CEO of Swiss Tourism, will speak on the marketing of history and authenticity.

 
The famous Badrutt''s Palace in St. Moritz and the Waldhaus in Sils-Maria will host the first meeting of the Historic Hotels of Europe.

 

Mat Carbaeck from the University of Goteborg will present a study on independent hotels and the Norwegian Eirik Solhaim will look at social media. In addition, Karen Brown, all the way from the USA, will speak on customer wishes and Urs Kienberger from Walhaus Hotel Sils will hold the final speech under the motto "It''s just too much - but richly rewarding!".

Historic Hotels of Europe consortium was established with the aim of providing joint marketing and achieving global attention for 19 fine historic hotel associations. The hotels represent the national cultural tradition, historic heritage and architecture.
