The new hospitalityInside SPECIAL EXPO REAL - the only pure hotel publication at the fair. |
Munich (August 2, 2013). Conference, Networking Event, Joint Stand, Special … hospitalityInside will once again be engaged for the industry and with the industry at the 16th international trade fair for real estate and investments from October 7-9, 2013: The programme for the "Hospitality Industry Dialogue" hotel conference is almost complete – several discussions will revolve around hotel financing. And for the first time, there is a CEO Talk. The guest list for the exclusive networking event "BRICKS & BRAINS" is growing; sponsors are still welcome. At present, 15 co-exhibitors have registered for the 3rd "World of Hospitality" joint stand; however, it could be even more up to the final deadline for registration. In time with the trade show, the bilingual "hospitalityInside EXPO REAL SPECIAL" will additionally appear in print and online; it is the only purely hotel-related publication at Expo Real. In contrast to the online magazine, advertisements are possible here. The preparations are running at full speed in spite of the summer break.
The leading real estate and investment trade show in Europe is also becoming increasingly more interesting for the hotel industry: The number of exhibitors from the industry has grown steadily for three years and with this, the number of contacts with other business partners from the areas of finance, construction and project development has also grown. In contrast to other purely hotel-related investment conferences, Expo Real offers the possibility to establish many new contacts with people and institutions that still deal little with the industry or not at all. Questions, prejudices and fears can be cleared up more quickly in direct conversation.
As an industry-specialised publication, hospitalityInside wishes to lend toward a greater transparency through various activities. Maria Puetz-Willems, Editor in Chief of the online professional magazine, hospitalityInside.com, is organising the "Hospitality Industry Dialogue" hotel conference for the 6th time. On the first trade show day (Monday) from 10.30 a.m. to 5.30 p.m., 30 international experts will discuss the subjects that move the industry. The keynote on the subject "Fit for Hotels? As with markets and hotels, different types of investors serve", believes Simon Redman of Invesco Real Estate from London; this will be followed by discussions on "Opportunity Funds: Who still finances old hotels?", and through to "Private Equity & Institutional Investors: Hotly pursued, difficult to snare?" and a banking panel in which credit institutes explain their parameters.

Again, about 30 experts of the international hotel industry will discuss the industry challenges this year. |
CEO Talk with Kempinski,
Motel One and Steigenberger
The talk round on resorts and boutique Hotels will seek to break the one-sided love between the banks and hotel chains: "Which opportunities have the exotic compared against the bonus of the chains?" The panel on franchising will demonstrate how the mega-chains implement and support this operator form. The largest franchisors in the world, Wyndham and Choice, will take part in this discussion alongside Accor, IHG and Marriott. Maria Puetz-Willems will introduce an additional novelty this year: There will be a "CEO Talk" for the first time. Three top executives quickly took up the invitation to it - Reto Wittwer of Kempinski Hotels & Resorts, Dieter Mueller of the Motel One Group and Puneet Chhatwal of Steigenberger Hotels & Resorts. The question to these three is: "External Forces? Where is the hotel industry drifting? Can influential chains actively improve the basic conditions of the industry?" All names are not yet confirmed; the programme is updated continually and can be found under this link (follow the keyword "Hospitality Industry Dialogue").
Networking in a new setting
The subjects and trade show contacts can be deepened further in a small, fine circle of exclusively invited guests: For the 5th time, hospitalityInside invites you to the "BRICKS & BRAINS" networking event on Monday evening. 150 top executives from the hotel, real estate, finance and project development industries will meet in a new location at the exhibition centre.
7 mega-chains and over 2.8 million rooms at one stand
The "World of Hospitality" joint stand initiated by hospitalityInside for the 3rd time has once again grown in comparison to the year before – not only in square metres, but also in heavy-hitting names. There have never been so many hotel chains at the Expo Real: The "Global Players" will stand side by side here – Accor, Choice, InterContinental Hotels Group, Kempinski, Louvre, Marriott and Wyndham Hotels. These seven chains alone represent approximately 26,500 hotels with more than 2.8 million rooms all around the globe. Niche players and specialists such as the LFPI Hotels Group and Derag Livinghotels will additionally join internationally active real estate sellers and consultants like Christie + Co., Hotour Hotel Consulting and BBG-Consulting along with the Jung & Schleicher solicitor's office and the architecture/development office, a2-hotelconcept.
The number of the exhibitors can still change up to the trade show beginning since the final decisions by individual companies are still pending.

An industry magnet: the joint stand "World of Hospitality". |
SPECIAL as a marketing bracket
The bilingual "hospitalityInside EXPO REAL SPECIAL" forms a marketing link to all activities. It is the only purely hotel-related publication at the Expo Real and appears in a high-quality print edition in parallel with a paged PDF online (can be retrieved on the hospitalityInside.com website year-round). For the first time, the magazine will also be displayed extensively this year at those Munich locations that will be directly receiving guest arrivals for the Expo Real.
For those who wish to present themselves with an advertisement in this context, the pricing and offers can be found in the attached PDF. The deadline is at the beginning of September, 2013. The nomenclature guidelines of the trade show are applicable to the advertisements.
If you would like to know how it all went in the year before: You can find information, summaries and photos of the individual hospitalityInside activities from Expo Real 2012 under this link. / kn
