Berlin (April 23, 2010). In June, the unconventional thinkers, trendsetters and pioneers of international design will meet in Berlin. The "Future Forum", the annual event of Design Hotels, has acquired this reputation. An inspiring forum of creative people with top-notch participants from all over the world follows the internal meeting of design hoteliers once a year, always in a different city. This event with a gala dinner is accessible at a charge to externals as well. hospitalityInside.com is the media partner of this fireworks of visions.
Following Shanghai, London, Barcelona and Vienna, Berlin is the place of choice for the second time: On Thursday/Friday, June 10/11 2010, Design Hotels will stage the sixth "Future Forum", a symposium for design, architecture, and hospitality. The venue will be the "Bikinihaus" in City-West, part of the listed building complex of Zoobogen. The participants in the Future Forum are architects, designers, hoteliers, investors, and journalists.
"Hybrid thinking" will be the topic of the 2010 Future Forum. In a networked and challenging world, it is indispensable to look beyond your own nose combining ideas from various different fields in order to develop new solutions. Hybrid thinking requires more than just a multi-disciplinary team - it requires a team of multi-disciplinary people.
New concepts - discussions with the trend observers
Hybrid thinkers cross the borders of convention - they combine different experiences and ways of thinking creating both new and unique concepts. Their ideas change and shape entire business sectors from the automotive industry to tourism. Creative hoteliers from all over the world have adopted this approach creating hotels that have more to offer than just overnight accommodation. The result is many-facetted hotel concepts combining elements from art, film, or medicine with classic hospitality offering completely new experiences.
Not only does the Future Forum provide opportunities for discussions and networking, but it also offers talks by international pioneers and forerunners. So far, the following speakers have confirmed their participation: Dr. David Bosshart, CEO of Gottlieb Duttweiler Institut, Zurich; Chris Sanderson and Martin Raymond, The Future Laboratory, London; Robert Thieman, Editor-in-Chief of the Frame interior design magazine, and Ralf Grauel, journalist for "brand eins" and book author.
External guests are welcome. A ticket for the Future Forum including the gala dinner and the welcome lounge costs 900 euros (plus VAT). Please find further information about the Future Forum and tickets at www.designhotels.com/futureforum. / kn
