Rome (May 25, 2007). The fifth International Hotel Conference (ICH) to be held 17-19 October, 2007 at the Cavalieri Hilton in Rome, Italy, will launch the "International Hotelier Global Citizen" Award. Again, the organisers expect more than 400 participants to join this industry meeting. Hoteliers booking until the end of May will save 200 Euros.
The new award will be given to the international hotelier who has made an impact on the hospitality industry, as well as humanitarian contributions to society. "This award will have several unusual aspects," said Mary Lou Koys and Morris E. Lasky, conference co-chairpersons. "It is the first to honor both individual industry achievements and contributions to society. In addition, it will be the first to be selected by the hotel industry by vote rather than a small group."
The winner will be announced during the first general session at the International Hotel Conference. A grant of 5,000 Euro will be donated to the charity of the honoree`s choice. "Our goal is to not only recognize an industry leader but to also encourage others to use their position within the industry to make the world a better place," said Mary Lou Koys, co-chairman of The International Hotel Conference.
The International Hotel Conference is the premier annual gathering in Europe of senior level hospitality executives, including owners, operators, brands, leading institutions, bankers, architects/designers, attorneys, brokers and other members of the hotel and related communities.
