Berlin/Vienna (September 15, 2006). The "Future Forum" of Design Hotels originally stems from two separate sets of events: the annual consortia members' meeting and trend discussions with guest speakers. In three weeks, 'architects of the future', property owners, investors and all those interested will convene in Vienna in order to exchange ideas and visions for living and lifestyle trends at "The Future of Living" symposium. Hoteliers interested in taking part may do so for 10 Euros entrance fee.

Design Hotels based in Berlin presently has 140 hotel members in 40 countries. Their target group consists of all those travellers who are open to individual, authentic and environmental concepts. Concepts for this target group can only be born out of controversial discussion, a finding that was clear to be seen at last year's Future Forum in Shanghai. There Chinese intellectuals and international guests discussed the interplay between the oldest culture in the world and modern China. The previous year in London almost exclusively concentrated on architectural design.
"Design Hotels is discreet as organiser of the event, remaining more or less in the background," Huettebraeuker explains, "we see ourselves more as host and presenter of new visions."
