Munich (July 22, 2011). At the EXPO REAL 2011 this year, one sector will present itself anew: the hotel industry. Seven renowned and leading companies of the international hotel industry will be present at the 14th Commercial Real Estate Fair held between 4 to 6 October 2011 in Munich at the first joint stand "World of Hospitality", initiated by hospitalityInside. Among the exhibitors at the premier stand are Accor Hospitality (Paris/Munich), InterContinental Hotels Group (London/Frankfurt), Grand City Hotels & Resorts (Berlin), Lindner Hotels & Resorts (Duesseldorf), the consultancies Christie+Co (London/Berlin) and Hotour Hotel Consulting (Frankfurt). In addition, the WTSH - Wirtschaftsfoerdungsgesellschaft Schleswig-Holstein (Economic Promotion and Technology Transfer Schleswig Holstein) will use the "World of Hospitality" for communication of its hotel projects, despite it already being present with its own stand. The new sector presence strengthens synergies of the hospitalityInside projects at the EXPO REAL and also gives new weight to the hotel conference "Hospitality Industry Dialogue", for years one of the most popular conferences.

"The ``World of Hospitality`` raises perception of the hotel industry in the investor and finance world. The sector gains a central presence at the trade fair and another means to strengthen its profile," Michael Willems says, Managing Director of hospitalityInside. The Augsburg-based company is the initiator of the joint stand; it operates a network for the international hotel industry through the online trade magazine www.hospitalityInside.com.

"We very much welcome that hospitality-affine exhibitors will be placed close to the Hospitality Industry Dialogue in Hall C2," Willems says. "The potential of the industry is enormous. With the hotel companies sharing the joint stand C2.233, more than 8,700 hotels are represented worldwide with over 1.16 million rooms; many new hotels and also small brands are in their pipeline."

The "World of Hospitality" can be found in the direct vicinity of the "Special Real Estate Forum" in Hall C2, in which the "Hospitality Industry Dialogue" (HID) will again take place with experts from the hotel world on the stage. Hotel operators, developers and financiers will discuss current trends:

How is business for Asian chains in Europe? Christoph Mares, Director Operations EMEA for Mandarin Oriental, and Olivia Kaussen, Head of Hotels Germany and CEE for CB Richard Ellis, have already agreed to take part in the panel. A further, highly interesting panel will bring together CEOs and owners: What expectations do they have of each other? How does partnership look today after the crisis? Questions to CEOs & Owners - Are they now friends or enemies?

The outfall from the financial crisis is still felt in 2011, especially in hotel finance. Investors, bankers and hoteliers are to discuss where the skeletons in the closet are. For the talk round "Finance, Refinance, Sell", Marty Kandrac, Managing Director of the Blackstone Group, Thomas Wagner from credit risk management at Erste Abwicklungsanstalt and Sym Keun Lee, Senior VP Asset Management for Ascott International will join.

The panel on sustainability was very well received last year. This year, the HID will look at the "Green City Index" and its consequences for the hotel industry. Two representatives from Siemens - Thomas Brodocz, Vice President Siemens One International Projects, and Michael-W. Hartmann, President Head Market Development Board Hospitality of Siemens AG - will introduce this complex topic. And Michaela Reitterer from Vienna, owner of the first emission-free city hotel, reports of her experiences with "green" regulations and authorities.

The budget wave continues unabated, and that of the midscale hotels is already gathering force. Do hostels, budget or midscale hotels bring the greatest returns? Sascha Gechter, Managing Director of Meininger Hotels, represents hostels; Philipp Westermann, Co-CEO of Motel One, will represent budget hotels; Gebhard Rainer, Managing Director EMEA for Hyatt International the midscale segment; and Ulrike Schueler, Managing Director of PKF hotelexperts Munich, will analyse the market as neutral observer.

And last but not least, focus will come to a subject which influences the value of a hotel property in a little known and very subtle way: reputation management. How do social media influence the value of a property? As an internationally experienced hotel distribution and IT expert, Bruno Wolf, today Managing Director of HHC, will present this interesting new connection.

Not all panels and discussion participants have been decided yet. EXPO REAL hotel conference "Hospitality Industry Dialogue" will be continually updated online under this link.

The 10th "Hospitality Industry Dialogue" on Tuesday, 4 October 2011, will take place in Hall C2 (please follow signs to "Special Real Estate Forum") and will begin at 10:30 hrs. Trade fair visitors have free entry.
