The hospitality joint stand 2013 will measure 200 square metres.

Munich (October 4, 2013). Never before has EXPO REAL welcomed so many exhibitors from the hotel industry! 11 hotel groups alone as well as 7 consultancies and hotel specialists will be presenting themselves at the joint stand "World of Hospitality" (Hall C2.230) from October 6 to 9, 2013. Only a few days ago, Hyatt Hotels and Premier Inn joined the stand. Besides Hyatt Hotels, the other "global players" are IHG, Marriott, Accor, and Louvre. In addition, the world's two largest franchisors Choice and Wyndham Hotels will be taking part. All hotel chains as well as the specialists will be represented by their top developers and/or managing directors.

In just three years the hotel industry has thus established itself as an asset class and integral part of Europe's leading real estate and investment trade fair. The stand is located right next to the conference forum, where 32 hotel experts from eight countries will debate the current subjects of the industry on the first trade fair day on Monday. However, there will be ample topics of conversation as there is a lot of motion in the hotel industry at the moment.

The 18 co-exhibitors at the 3rd joint stand of "World of Hospitality" are the following in alphabetical order:

Expo Real 2012 World of Hospitality Stand
Early morning, Expo Real 2012 is about to start...

"This year, the 11 hotel businesses at the stand represent more than 28,000 hotels with more than 3.15 million rooms world wide," summarises Michael Willems, Managing Director of HospitalityInside, who has been initiating and coordinating the joint stand for three years now. "The present consultancies, project developers and lawyers belong to the industry-defining business as well." He is sure that the interest in Expo Real will increase even further: "We already have the first interested parties for 2014."

Trade fair compliment: Increase in quality

Especially since the Lehman crash in 2008, there have been a lot of changes in the hotel industry. The division between properties and operators is becoming increasingly greater. In order to live up to the core business of the hotel industry – providing hospitality – both sides have to communicate and negotiate more than ever. This is also a driving force of the joint stand, which has once again expanded.

"We are very excited that the hospitality sector covers 200 square metres this year," said Exhibition Director Claudia Boymanns. "Our joint booth is a real success story – not only because it managed to triple its size, but it has also significantly increased its quality. This year, the booth also includes the most important 'global players' from the ranks of international hotel chains. The booth was substantially expanded and includes more international participants to the benefit of the 'Hospitality Industry Dialogue' conference held right next door at the 'Special Real Estate Forum'. Networking opportunities are thus at hand for all hospitality experts."

Conference: CEO panel with Motel One, Kempinski, Steigenberger

The hotel conference reflects that hotel properties are starting to make a name for themselves apart from commercial properties, even though they demand a lot of expert knowledge from investors and financers. However, the number of interested institutional investors, funds and family offices is increasing for this industry. More often than ever before, capital is overcoming geographical borders.

This year, the 12th "Hospitality Industry Dialogue" (HID) provides an abundance of information on finances, e.g. in the bank panel discussion. But the operators are also presenting their point of view in a franchise panel discussion, among other things. For the first time, there will be a CEO panel, starting off with three top executives: Dieter Mueller of Motel One, Reto Wittwer of Kempinski, and Puneet Chhatwal of Steigenberger Hotels.

On Moday, October 7, 2013, 32 experts from eight countries will participate in the forum "Special Real Estate Forum" in Hall C2; these experts belong to top-calss businesses, which are trendsetters in the hotel and real estate industry. Following this link, you will find the entire programme (following the keywords "Special Real Estate Forum" and then "Hospitality Industry Dialogue"). / kn
