Therefore, his two colleagues, Stefan Hoelzner, Senior Manager and Dr. Florian Kohlar, Assistant Manager with KPMG Security Consulting, are now continuing with the thread: In a "Live-Hacking", they would like to demonstrate to the audience how easy it is today to steal customer data, copy magnetic strips or break into video conference systems.
We will not reveal further details at this point, the case studies to be expected will certainly have surprises in store!
In any event, life for hotels as well as hotel groups will not become any easier in the future as the last talk round of the hotel conference will demonstrate:
15:30-16:30 IT Takes Over Hotel Industry: How Software And Internet Distributors Are Shaking Up The Industry
The individual complaints and legal procedures of recent years very clearly illustrate the chaos and mood that rule within the market. The extremely fast advancement of the Internet and the booking channels for hotels often leave the professional host with only frustration. Many lack transparency and with this, an orientation as to how they should stand over the coming years.

Therefore, it is important to perhaps see the IT dynamism from a "higher" vantage point. It has been a long time since insiders have been talking about commissions; rather now, it is about the power of the individual machines. Will SEOs, OTAs or Google dominate the hotel bookings? Who controls the data and which machine will edge out which other?
The technology-experienced consultant and partner with Swiss Hospitality Solutions, Wilhelm Konrad Weber, will lead the discussion. Also joining the platform are: Vassilis Syropoulos, Founder & Director of the Juyo Analytics software company; Peter Verhoeven, Managing Director EMEA with Booking.com; Brannon Winn, Vice President Business Development EMEA with Sabre Hospitality Solutions; Luis del Olmo, EVP Group Marketing & Asia Pacific, Meliá Hotels International and also recently confirmed, Executive Chairman of the internal IT company, IDISO.
This year, the ITB Hospitality Day will take place for the 10th time. What began in March, 2006 with an audience of 880 that has since drawn in approximately 12,600 ITB visitors last year. 226 participants and Keynote Speakers have shaped the conference. hospitalityInside Editor-in-Chief Maria Puetz-Willems has been responsible from the beginning for the organisation of the content for the ITB Hospitality Day. / kn
