IHIF celebrating its 20th anniversary - hospitalityInside new media partner

Berlin (January 20, 2017). As the International Hotel Investment Forum (IHIF) Berlin celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2017 (from 6th – 8th March), the conference programme will reflect on how the sector has changed during that period, how it is likely to evolve in the years to come and how to succeed in new market conditions. hospitalityInside.com will be a media partner of this international event for the first time this year, which always begins two days before ITB.

Over three days, the IHIF conference programme will inspire participants to future-proof their business:

DAY 1 Reflect & Adapt: The first conference day will be decidedly focused on the economics of hotel investment: leaders from investment, banking, asset management and hotel brands will take a close look at the evolving fundamentals of the sector and the changing international environment to secure future growth.

The Lifetime Achievement Award goes to…

… Arne Sorenson, President and Chief Executive Officer of Marriott International. Following the acquisition of Starwood Hotels and Resorts by Marriott International in September 2016, Sorenson became CEO of the largest lodging company in the world. He is also the first person in the nearly 90-year history of the company to lead Marriott who is not a member of the Marriott family.

Following the presentation of the Award on Monday, 6 March at 16.10, Sorenson will share his experience of the acquisition of Starwood and the future of Marriott in a session titled: “Managing the deal of the decade."
