Augsburg/Munich (May 29, 2020). The Expo Real 2020 will take place. This was and is the declared aim of Messe München four weeks ago. On 26 May, the Bavarian state government now officially permitted trade fairs from 1 September 2020 again. No details are yet known - except that the Corona requirements must be fullfilled here too. Messe München is working with the city and state government on appropriate hygiene measures and requirements. The date is 5-7 October.
In 2019, 46,700 real estate and investment experts visited Europe's leading trade fair in this segment. This number will probably no longer be achievable due to the new requirements. Nevertheless, the decision of the Bavarian state government brings movement into this important segment, which will also contributes strongly to the recovery of the hotel industry - provided there is no second wave of infection.
On 27 May, it was announced that the Frankfurt Book Fair 2020 can take place (14-18 October), physically on the exhibition site and simultaneously digitally. In 2019, this fair attracted over 300,000 visitors. This announcement from the state Hessen can also be seen as a strong signal for exhibitors, visitors and the economy as a whole.
For Expo Real 2020, the registration procedure has continued as usual so far. Last week, the recommendations for stand construction and the implementation of hygiene measures were sent to the exhibitors. This means that essential basic conditions have been established and the team from HospitalityInside will find good solutions for the exhibitors at the "World of Hospitality" joint stand even under crisis conditions.
