Augsburg/Berlin (December 15, 2017). HospitalityInside is launching HITT – HospitalityInside Think Tank – the first of its kind and a prelude to a series of think tanks revolving around the issue of digitization and artificial intelligence. Non-hoteliers provide input and impulses, while we integrate our sponsors and their know-how – and our participants determine the discussions and future focuses of this internationally aligned event. "With HITT, we offer top hotel managers, investors and other hotel experts a new, intense, but nonetheless relaxed approach to strategy finding in troubled times", explains Michael Willems, Managing Director of HospitalityInside. Non-hoteliers from the fields of science, industry and other sectors will initiate the discussions by providing new impulses. What can technology achieve today? Which innovations are relevant? Where are viable ways? How is it possible to cut costs and provide added value by implementing artificial intelligence in the hotel service industry?

HospitalityInside does not aim at raising more questions, instead it is about finding answers together. The first think tank covers the big picture, the quest for the path through the tech jungle.

This is why the concept is built on the following unusual pillars:

HITT will take place on a solar-powered seminar ship.
During a day-long trip on the Havel river, thoughts will be able to flow undisturbed.
The number of participants is limited to a maximum of 80 people.
Personal talks and concrete exchange of experiences are appreciated.
  Outsiders provide impulses.
We share knowledge: We are becoming a "learning community".
The network remains active thanks to a strong, edited post-event communication.
Sponsors define themselves as content providers.

"This unusual and straightforward framework enables executives to pose their own questions and share worries and insecurities without inhibitions – quite different compared to bustling mega conferences with thin content and an overstretched programme," adds Maria Puetz-Willems, Editor-in-Chief of hospitalityInside.com. "I consider it a sort of off-the-record event, as we'll be sharing content with our participants first, who themselves want to deepen their findings permanently". hospitalityInside's editorial department will prepare the content based on its high quality standards.

What is also new is that the sponsoring companies, themselves drivers of innovation, will be involved in a new way: not via product PR, but via their content. Regarding HITT, their knowledge makes them content providers as well.
