Augsburg/Berlin (February 21, 2020). The HospitalityInside Think Tank (HITT) 2020 can be booked starting today! For the third time, this creative platform for hospitality executives will kick off again on June 22/23 – this time in Potsdam, south of Berlin with the "SPOTLIGHT" premiere on day 1. Accompany young software companies and agile market leaders on new digital ways towards the customer experience. This can also be booked separately! However, the number of participants for day 2 on the seminar ship remains limited. On both days, it is all about the one big goal: "Boost your Service Delivery. Bring your Hotels to Life in a Digital World". Today, we are presenting the programme to you.

The content of the 3rd HITT is based on the great feedback we received from the participants in the two previous years. They want to become more pragmatic now; they want to exchange more intensively with colleagues – and they still want to learn from external experts, namely from non-hoteliers. HospitalityInside as host is fulfilling this requirement again. HospitalityInside Think Tanks are no copy-paste events but customised creative forums, whose content is enhanced in post-events in the subsequent 12 months until the next Think Tank.

Spotlight HI

New: The SPOTLIGHT is on...

The first HITT day (June 22) will already start in the late morning in the hotel on the banks of the Havel River in Potsdam. Young as well as experienced innovators will venture into the spotlight and expose themselves to the questions of the participants. They have created alternatives to rigid PMS or developed new ideas for an improved customer experience.

Immerse yourself into the next tech generation! This day can be booked as a single module and is also open to all other executives and experts from digitalisation, distribution, eCommerce and guest management (see below).

Mews Systems is the first business venturing into the spotlight: "Our vision reaches far beyond our online check-in technology or our plug-and-play marketplace," says Bastian Stosic, Managing Director DACH and Eastern Europe of Mews Systems, which was originally founded in the Czech Republic. It redefines the entire stay and improves the internal processes in the hotel fundamentally. The mobile and cloud-based solution can easily be adapted to existing systems thanks to its open and cost-free interface.

Ireckonu follows a different approach: The Dutch start-up from the creative environment of citizenM bundles guest data from various existing systems in an inventory and thus creates a detailed guest profile. From a technological perspective, it relies on its own APIs and specifications.

Sabre Hospitality Solutions, one of the large market leaders among the PMS providers, will introduce its new hospitality retail tool; its global launch is planned for this year. The further development of this tool is also based on the discussions of the two last HITT Think Tanks (Editor: A nice compliment for our participants! - Sabre has been one of the main sponsors from the beginning).

This week one more innovative company has been added:

Robotise has invented an independently operating hotel service robot that brings guests' snacks and drinks right to the room door. The young company is based in Munich and builds its own robots there. The team is bringing one of them to the SPOTLIGHT.

There are plans for more innovative companies, which would like to take the SPOTLIGHT as well with their innovations; however, the talks with them have not been concluded yet.

The participants will be able to enjoy an exclusive setting and direct dialogues with the innovators. There will be time for extensive talks during the day and they can be continued in the evening: The participants, who solely book day 1 (Spotlight) are welcome to participate in the beach party in the evening where they will also meet the participants of the HITT ship.

The topics on the SHIP

On the second day of the Think Tank (June 23), the seminar ship will cast off directly in front of the hotel on the banks of the Havel River – at 9 a.m. sharp. The solar-powered event ship Orca ten Broke will navigate through the waterways of the Brandenburg lake district. This will offer a quiet and calm contrast to the tingling discussion atmosphere on board the ship, which will hopefully occur again.

We will start with an impuls by an AI specialist from Washington, who searches for AI start-ups around the globe. With him, we will take a look into the future of applications and if measurable performance improvements can be derived from them.

Then it will become more pragmatic, also because the executives of leading global chains as well as small and creative hotels groups will take over the lead for the discussion within the group: We are expecting an intense exchange of experiences among colleagues concerning the respective challenges: How will global players be able to provide their guests with individual "experiences" within their structured framework, and how will smaller branded businesses be able to set themselves apart?

For lunch, the Orca ten Broke will drop anchor at a small, idyllic island – and one hour later, after refreshments, we will continue our journey and enter the colourful world of online and offline shopping. Thanks to digitalisation, promising synergies will develop here in future. A renown retail specialist will report on how his business manages this balancing act at the moment.

In this retail scenario, the property plays a very important role too – and therefore is the perfect transition to the digitalised hotels in the new mixed-use quarters in large cities. How will a hotel with its host DNA and services be able to become part of the new, colourful neighbourhood and its community?
